Mum says that there are currently two main versions of Dynamics CRM out there in the market place; these versions are Dynamics CRM 3.0 and Dynamics CRM 4.0. There are possibly some earlier versions out there but mum thinks that not many people use these any more, certainly not any of her clients. If she had a potential client who insisted on using an earlier version, she would not work with them.

So what I know is:

  • CRM 3.0 – Is a good product, but you cannot buy it any more. There are lots of people out there using it and enjoying it. Mum encourages her clients to plan for an upgrade to CRM 4.0 because at some point CRM 3.0 will not be supported anymore. Mum still does a lot of work with CRM 3.0 CRM 4.0 – It’s a great product, all new installations have to use this product at the moment.

  • CRM 4.0 has lots of things that CRM 3.0 doesn’t for example it can be hosted and the workflow is much better. Better workflow means more ways to get honey more quickly.

Started work at my first job.  I am looking forward to my wages; (gourmet honey) for me now, or maybe I can move up to Royal Jelly (whatever that is), but if bees make it, it must be honey like so I am cool about it.

Tax forms! What’s going on here, mum informs me that I am going to have to pay TAX, this means that the government is going to take some of my honey; they have no use for it, I do; this isn’t fair.  I even went to Parliament House in Canberra last week-end with my mum and dad and there is no honey there!  What are they doing, it isn’t fair… Mum says that I have to get used to it; so my first lesson on the job is that “Life isn’t fair”.  So I am going to fill in my tax forms, and give some of my hard earned honey away.  (Maybe I might sample it first!)

I have been very busy learning all about Dynamics CRM; wow it's a great product, still trying to figure out just how it will help me get more HONEY; but I am working on that one.

One piece of interesting news that I heard about in the office, while looking over someone's keyboard can be found by following this link http://www.insidecrm.com/features/crm-important-recession-082508/

The link lists 5 reasons why CRM is even more important than ever in a recession; basically it's saying that in a recession everyone wants to make their dollars (honey) go further. (Yes but I eat mine.)  investing in CRM now is a fantastic way to make your dollars go further, by helping you identify the good customers from the bad ones.  Or in other words "more bang for your buck".
